MacKay Memorial Hospital was first established as the MacKay Clinic in Tamsui in 1880 by Christian missionary Dr. George Leslie MacKay. Today, it is one of the largest and most well-known medical centers in Taiwan. Aside from the main hospital campus in Taipei City, there are branch hospitals located in Tamsui, Taitung and Hsinchu. With the four hospital branches combined, MacKay has over 3,000 beds and more than 7,300 employees across the nation.
As a medical center, MacKay Memorial Hospital has a full range of medical specialties. We excel in reproductive medicine, joint replacement, minimally invasive surgery using the da Vinci Surgical System in treating cardiovascular diseases, and treatment of congenital diseases. Our medical teams consist of specialists from across departments to provide integrated and comprehensive care for the health and well-being of each patient. Our International Medical Service Center is dedicated to serve our friends from abroad so they feel at home when away from home!
