MEN with an unusual fetish for FARTS have candidly revealed how they indulge in their sexual fantasises and why flatulence arouses them.
The three men have spoken anonymously to Vice about their own personal experiences with the sexual desire, which is known as eproctophilia.
The group - one of which is single and straight, another straight and married while the third is a single gay man - said the fetish centres around a sexual attraction to farts.
However it's not the same for each person with some preferring to fart on their sexual partners, while others are most turned-on by the act of being farted upon.
Experts say the fetish tends to develop when someone is exposed to farting in a heightened environment.
Sarah Berry, a sex and relationship therapist, told Vice: "Farts are generally regarded as funny, gross and/or embarrassing.
"Any experiences exacerbating any of these reactions could give rise to farting as a sexual preference."
One of the men, aged 22 and from the US, said he can pinpoint his earliest fantasies to the age of six when he was obsessively amused by flatulence, especially Pumbaa in the Lion King.
He said: “I remember I wasn’t allowed to even use the word ‘fart’ when I was little, so that probably made it feel more taboo or forbidden to me.”
The man, who is sexually attracted to women farting, is yet to enact his fantasies and instead watches online videos.
He said: "They don't contain sex or nudity. Most of the ones I watch are solo videos where the model is alone, either fully-dressed or in suggestive clothing, like lingerie."
An Australian man, aged 52, said he had admiration for "public" farters when he was a boy because "they always seemed so uninhibited, confident and a little subversive."
He said: “One day when I was feeling a little jaded and wanting to shock, I let rip rather loudly in front of another man in the university gym changing room.
“I then did this on a regular basis. Sometimes, my farts actually received a [positive] response.”
When he was 40 he finally carried out his fantasy in real life after meeting up with a man who shared the same desires.
He said: "We spent 24 hours together, during which we farted in front of each other in various locations like a restaurant, farted on each other's hands and eventually in each other's faces."

The third man to divulge his sexual fantasies is a 37-year-old straight man from Brazil who is only turned on by men farting.
He told how he first realised his arousal to flatulence when mucking about with his cousin one day and, "he deliberately farted on my face, trying to be funny".
He added: "He didn't know I was near his butt cheeks to appreciate them, and his fart made my dreams come true."
The men were clear to point out that the eproctophilia community is very different to those with coprophilia - a fetish for faeces - and they are actually very against it.
