Iowa man killed in head-on crash

CASS COUNTY, Iowa — A Griswold man died Monday morning after his truck was struck head-on by another truck near the town of Lewis in southwest Iowa.
It happened around 5:52 a.m. just west of the intersection of Highway 6 and 582nd Street, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
Charges pending in fatal weekend Madison County crash, sheriff saysA pickup truck driven by Vincent Trabona of Amite, Louisiana was traveling west on Highway 6 when the ISP said it crossed the center line, for unknown reasons, and hit an eastbound pickup truck head-on.
The driver of the eastbound pickup truck, 59-year-old Gregg Cohrs, died in the crash. The ISP said he was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The report did not list any injuries for Trabona.
The Iowa State Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
